For nearly five decades, LionCraft Construction has been designing, building, and remodeling homes across Southern California, helping thousands of families create spaces where life unfolds and memories are made.
Our story begins in 1977 with Michael de Leon, whose path into construction was shaped by grit, responsibility, and a deep commitment to providing for others. Raised in Los Angeles by a hardworking immigrant mother, Michael learned early the value of perseverance and honest work. He has since spent decades helping families build and improve their homes with care and dedication.
Nearly five decades later, LionCraft is still a family business. Michael works alongside his sons Christian and Daniel, bringing those same foundational values into a modern, design-forward practice.
We guide clients through every phase of the process, from initial design and permitting through final construction, with clear communication at every step.
After thousands of completed projects, we remain proud that our contractor’s license has never received a complaint, a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to every day.
Our goal is simple: to build homes we’re proud to stand behind, for families who plan to enjoy them for years to come.
Michael de Leon - President
Michael de Leon has been building and remodeling homes since the late 1970s, bringing decades of experience and steady leadership to every LionCraft project. Known for his hands-on approach and deep industry knowledge, he helps guide clients through each phase of construction with clarity and confidence.
When he’s not on a jobsite, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Linda, cooking for family and friends, and working in the garden, simple moments that reflect the same appreciation for home and gathering that inspires the work he does every day.
Christian Leon - Vice President
Christian, the eldest of Michael’s two sons in the business, brings over a decade of hands-on experience in the construction industry. With a background spanning plumbing, concrete, and electrical work, he plays a key role in overseeing daily operations and supporting clients through both big-picture decisions and day-to-day project updates.
Outside of work, Christian enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Jillian and their rescue dog, Spock, named after the iconic Star Trek character.
Daniel de Leon - Director of Operations
Daniel leads much of LionCraft’s design and pre-construction work. Wearing many hats across the business, he works closely with clients to design spaces that reflect both their aesthetic preferences and the way their families live, while also guiding project planning, budgeting, and operational coordination to keep projects running smoothly from concept through construction.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling, fly fishing, cooking, and playing beach volleyball. He and his wife, Sydney, live in Oceanside with their dog, Hank.
